The history of the Salmaso Shoe Factory sees its roots in 1967 and in the talent as a technical designer of the young Sergio Salmaso, in a context, that of the Riviera del Brenta, rich of tradition and stimulations in the footwear industry.
It's the story of a company that, having had their brand in the past, can go beyond the production tout court, thanks to the development of a sensibility to the style that can interpret the stylists' ideas and understand their needs.
It's also the story of a family bonded by the entrepreneurial enthusiasm for the business of a father who has been able to impart his love for the shoe tradition to his sons Stefano and Daniele, who translated their father's passion according to their talents for sales and financial planning.
The twenty-two-year-old Sergio Salmaso enters as a partner in the Barmar shoe factory thanks to his technical abilities as a designer and starts to develop the company sales by setting up relations with critical international partners.
After 20 years as a partner, Sergio decides to start his own business and buys the brand Bamar, moving the premises from Fiesso d'Artico to Vigonza
It's the birth of Original Sergio Salmaso with the Bamar brand, and the company opens to the production for other leading brands.
Sergio's sons join the company to support their father in the business growth: first Stefano to manage the Sales Department and then Daniele with administrative and financial functions.
At the early 2000s, the shoe industry faces crucial changes in the markets and the entry of high fashion brands. Original Sergio Salmaso reacts by strengthening the Design Department andconcentrating on chosen markets with dedicated luxury collections.
The fast success of the changes within the company culminates in the great company revolution, ratified by the transfer to the prestigious new headquarters at Fossò and by the decision of closing the own collection to concentrate on the production for famous brands, whose demand represents an ever-growing incentive to creativity
Through experience and skills acquired over time, the Salmaso family will further promote a company that generously respects its employees, integrates craftsmanship with new technologies, and above all, works in harmony with the environment. The aim is to reach a sustainable company model through UNI 14001 certification, which started in September 2022. The path has already been taken with the drastic reduction of solvents in favour of the inclusion of water-based glues. The next steps are imminent and fuel our enthusiasm more than ever.
